Why do we have the fear of being left alone?
Why are we trying to find ourselves in the eyes of others?
Why do we feel alone in the city of millions?
Why do we put zillions of masks on our faces just to be appreciated by others?
We have a problem with our generation, that is loneliness. We fear to be alone. We always (crave for attention) want to be the center of the attention, we always want to be heard, we like to be appreciated, we like to be loved. As a teenager we expect love that we give out to others, we expect more than what we give, we want more than we do, these expectations hurt the most.
And when I am alone I end up thinking about all this like I described and if I keep on thinking like this it leads to depression. Depression is like being color blind to the world that is colorful. This state of mind causes dangerous outcomes one being self harm. But I cannot because I don’t wanna harm anyone.
When I go in the depressed state I know that I have to avoid these thoughts. I know that we are all messed up and that’s OK. No one is going to kill you for your messed up life and then there are people who love the mess that you are.
Those people will find you and eventually you will learn to be happy. For now we have to appreciate ourselves for who we are with all the mess within and around us and trust the journey. One day you’ll be appreciated for your flaws and patience.
